    NPL tryouts

These tryouts are starting soon. Can you tryout at any club even if you are not released from current club?

    Yes you can.

If a club has teams who play both NPL and another league like FYSA can it hold early tryouts?

But could any girls who make NPL team at an earlier tryout than FYSA allows be later moved to another team that plays in a FYSA league?

Sign nothing until you want to, if the kid is good there will be a spot

Some NPL clubs are starting tryout on May 13. How can these teams who have tryouts earlier then play in State Cup?

Pssst...NPL is US Club, where they have no rules! They do whatever they want, when they want. This is just a cheap ploy to try to nab players before the FYSA teams have tryouts!

Here is how it can be done:
                      May 13th Have NPL tryouts
May 18th Players that made the NPL team show up for FYSA Tryouts.

Both teams are the same players. Because the team is created first under the auspices of NPL, FYSA tryout dates are not applicable. Because they have an FYSA "tryout", the FYSA team is also validated.

                        FYSA has no balls!

NPL and ECNL belong to Club Soccer. They have no ridiculous rules like USYS and FYSA concerning when a player can tryout and how they are "owned" by a certain team.

Club Soccer wants youth soccer players to play where they are comfortable, can develop to a level of their highest potential, and play at the most competitive level possible. USYS and FYSA have not been able to compete with their philosophy.

Holding youth soccer players "hostage" to one team is the most ridiculous rule ever. What if the kid's team is assigned a bad coach? Believe me, there are many bad youth soccer coaches across the country, even at your own club! What is wrong with a player wanting to play at a higher level on another team? Youth sports is about developing young kids in many aspects of their lives, so why hold them back? Tryout for the most competitive league possible, and where you can be developed into the best player possible!

You are right, but still something has to be done to prevent club hopping and promote team loyalty. Everyone on the team is affected by mid season departures and so many parents show so little concern for what they leave behind.

Without some restrictions, the midsession formation of super teams would become the new trend. No other sport allows this. Youth soccer is no different.

Don't get me wrong. The current system is way too restrictive, but some system needs to develop help clubs maintain consistency for the benefit of the rest of the players that stay.

Well put! And if NPL and ECNL is the way, then those clubs need to get out of FYSA and State Cup. They harp on USYS but then play in everything.
