Of he 20 local teams from Oregon that played in the ECNL this year only 2 of them 'qualified' to participate in a 32 team champions bracket showcase that would advance the top finishers to ECNL nationals the results are as expected below.

It doesn't matter...these ECNL teams are SUPPOSED to be the best of the best...and they stank.

I'm not an advocate for ECNL, it is a waste of money. You don't need it to get into college....
I will say however that these results are not bad. We are not expected to win, our current structure in Oregon won't allow it. Pdx metro does not have but 1-2 top level coaches. Odd doesn't really even have a DOC with vision to implement a curriculum....in fact I would go as far to say that there really isn't a true "club" in all of pdx metro.....Oregon soccer clubs are places for players to play in a certain league. Oregon needs to find and identity before anything else happens....until then we will struggle

I'm sure any club team from Oregon could match these results regardless if they are a 'Timbers' moniker club, BSC, PCU or Herminston select. They might even let in fewer than 20 goals over 6 matches, like these 2 clubs did.

The only Timbers 'team' is the Thorns and they also could of gone winless over 6 games.

Love how people take something and run with it...best league, obviously not every team in the best league is the best. There will be a first place and a last place, and every place in between.

Crossfire Premiere did great this year, look back at their first year, not so pretty!

                        Haters will hate.

Yep. And most of those stupid people have their kids at Timbers clubs.

Greater Seattle population around 4 million people.

Greater Portland population around 2 million people.

Currently 2 local PDX area clubs are fielding teams from Oregon how could anyone expect Oregon to be relevant or get better, with this type of dilution?

No hate. Just facts if Washington fielded 4 teams that were not based on the best talent and coaching available they too like Oregon would be fodder as well.

Ignorant people will always be Ignorant.

                              Oregon Population: 4 Million
                              Holland Population: 17 Million
                              Chile Population: 18 Million
                              USA Population: 319 Million

Population doesn't matter. Culture does. Or US Players would be playing in the world's best leagues, like the Chileans or the Dutch.

Here is a fun game: Name the Oregon players playing the World Cup. Name the Oregon players playing in NWSL.

Chile plays for the Copa America title Saturday. USA plays for a World Cup final. USA loses, we cry; Chile loses, they riot. Culture.
