Funny how a steady diet of non Oregon competition can humble a bunch of parents. Remember when you beat DeAnza and you thought you were the best team in the country? Hopefully you parents now know you judge a team based on a lot of games, not just one.

This weekend was about winning. You develop to get to this weekend and you want to advance. They did their best, but didn't advance. More work to do, but don't hide behind 'development' when results don't go your way. It does a disservice to the players and the coaches and teaches your kid to make excuses.
If the coach is now saying 'development' but wasn't before the event, I would worry. If the coach was saying 'development' all along, I would wonder what they are developing for, as this was the biggest stage they have ever seen.

Face it, little Onyx was a good team, but not any better than recent good Oregon teams and far from being the one of the best teams ever from Oregon. So when you people are going around crowing about the greatness of Tom, you should realize that he hasn't done a lot more than what other coaches have done.
