Eastside has won more USYS National titles than Westside. For that matter, so has FC.

Eastside is really a Gresham club. The biggest underserved area in town is the eastside between the river and Gresham. PCU, NEU etc. just haven't been good enough. PCU seems like it ought to have more success than it does.

There are players on the east side. The east side high schools, both boys and girls, do well but the majority of their top players play for west side clubs and have for years.

Eastside is unwilling to budge when they have hs age girl's teams that have very good players but not enough to sustain one competitive team at each age group. If they combined a couple of age groups each time they might have more success and or retain more of the true talent. As it is, EST is far more motivated on the boys side. In the recent past EST boys have not done as well as they did when GW was there. He was to the boys side of soccer what TA is to the girl's, ie a recruiting mecca.
