You know EDP is a huge league right ... Multiple regions and divisions? Unlike all of the any other leagues teams have to earn their way into top brackets and there is relegation after each season. Yes, I said teams have to earn their spots. Pretty novel isn't it? Clubs don't get picked or buy their way in and then never produce.

One of the best things about it is promotion/relegation by team, not by club. It's how it should be done.

The is the current EDP U15 North Atlantic Premier 1 league leaders.

          NY Surf 06 Academy
          Commack Destroyers
          Force FC 06
          Alleycats 06

You really think any of these teams are walking away with a win in the ECNL
          Northeast Division?

            Sure do
Northeast ECNL isn’t all that1 SoCal a little different but NE is weak enough for them to compete

Seriously? Yes, yes, yes. Top 2 or 3 teams would beat, tie, or lose by only a goal to at least half the division.

These ECNL fools don’t get it lots of very good USYS EDP teams...just look at the U15 and U16 Jeff Cup top couple brackets!

No I think many agree - many bottom ECNL vs top EDP games would be very competitive. But generally EDP doesn't have the same depth in their brackets or benches, especially as you move up the ECNL ladder. Eg. A good EDP could probably beat FSA but not CFC and definitely not a top 10 national club

Yeah right. And yet CFC vs FSA are almost always close games.

But against same competition most FSA teams are ranked significantly lower than CFC. Its not razor thin as one poster likes to claim

Jefferson Cup U15 bracket, 4th tier: CFC United 2006 (ECNL) and CT Rush Elite 2006 (EDP).

These two teams are comparable as per the Jefferson Cup tournament committee.

Lol a committee that has never seen the teams play and only has ECNL and GotSoccer points to make a judgement call. Placements are not a science. Nor is one match-up a representation of two large leagues against one another. Most teams from the two won't ever play each other.

Rush's record is based on last year and they've lost a lot of players since then. That's part of the problem with these brackets, along with not being able to compare apples to apples

Last year rush would have beat them for sure. CFC finally got off their ass and brought Ina lot of new outside players for the 2006s. If rush didn't lose anyone it will still be a good game and I would probably still out them as a favorite. Then we will hear excuses .... It's a new set of players ....

These two teams played in a "friendly" last year and played to a draw. Not much separating them.
