DA didn’t let kids play school soccer or ANY other sport. Has to be the most backwards restriction ever!

Not true - they allowed other sports but the it wasn't always possible depending on each player's situation, demands of other teams etc. The league certainly didn't care about multisport athletes and the expectation was that soccer was your first sport with no excuses for missing anything.

Not allowing soccer was the bigger problem - lots of kids still want to play HS soccer, even if their HS teams aren't very good. Didn't help that they gave waivers for private school kids but didn't allow public school kids to play. Towards the end some clubs started looking the other way to players playing HS on the down low, which again just shot their credibility and created more problems. In the north where the HS season is the fall some clubs wouldn't roster kids then put them on the rosters once their seasons were over.

Definitely their downfall. These kids aren’t getting paid. For a league to tell them what they can and can’t do is just ridiculous.

Does the GAL have minimum licensing requirements for its coaches?

Girls Academy is doing everything in their power for PR and not interested in what’s best for the players or the parents. People at the top of GA making major decisions are missing the mark on the health and well being of the players and parents. The DISASTER choice of playing the GA TX event show how everything is for PR and not the well being of the players and parents. That event should have been canceled immediately. Even D1 coaches are shocked that these games were played.

GAL just added back an upstate NY team that was kicked out of GDA they were so gawd-awful (teams had negative goal differentials of over 100 pts). The icing on the cake is the team is 4-6 hours from any of their competitors. I get trying to fill in some geographic holes to shore up some regions, but the NE didn't need another club let alone one so terrible and far away. Makes zero sense, other than perhaps PR like you said.

The New England DPL division just collapsed with 6 of 8 clubs leaving yesterday to go back to NPL. GAL is next.

With PBG now in the mix it will improve the league ten-fold. SB and PG will see to that...

This is correct. While ECNL it’s very selective and has a line of clubs appliying to belong, the gal is a free for all taking any club regardless qualifications. Gal is so in the verge of disappearing that the only way to survive is to make numbers.

Those guys stink and keep your players and kids super far away from them. Never met a bunch of bigger egos then those two.
