South Dakota has an economy? If you mean she let Sturgis happen? That turned into a mass superspreader eventually across the Midwest.

South Dakota ran a surplus this year even with the pandemic. State did not loose money like CT is bleeding out.

Not a super spreader event, just virus gonna virus.
What is the super spreader event for CA?
Your logic is weak and poor.

            Turn off CNN man.
Florida is now 26th in deaths per million and will drop again this week to be 27th by next weekend.
Meanwhile CA is continuing to move up quickly even with a huge population. That’s what happens when your 7 day avg of deaths is 600. Over 4,000 Newsom deaths this week alone. That is 1 in 6 of all US deaths this week.
Tell me again how Democrat states are better run?

For God's sake, 100% of people in LA were wearing mask for months BEFORE the massive spread. Open your brain. At what point do you have to take responsibility for the failed results of your policies already being in place? Never?

California may have paid out nearly $10 billion in phony coronavirus unemployment claims with some of that money going to organized crime in Russia, China and other countries.

California’s absolute and utter incompetence on this is just stunning. $10 BILLION paid out in fraudulent unemployment claims, including to prisoners and crime rings in foreign countries. Meanwhile, legitimate applicants who actually need the money through lockdowns can’t get it.

                That is your killer Newsom.

On December 21st, media warned California was close to care rationing.

A model from the state government predicted 75K hospitalizations by mid-January, steep growth from the 16K then hospitalized.

Yesterday, CA had less than 22K hospitalizations.

                  These experts are charlatans.

It’s one thing to be consistently and massively wrong about everything.

It’s quite another for no questions to be asked, and for these predictions to keep coming and keep missing astronomically immediately.

On 1/14, the 7-day average of reported new deaths in Germany reached 896, a staggering 29766% increase from 7/21 when we were told their numbers were low due to a “master class” in science & communication

Did the Germans stop complying? It can’t be a lack of leadership, right?

Those Northeast states you mentioned were all hit before we knew of dangers of Covid. South Dakota was being taken apart as their governor was claiming remaining open (but forget to mention she was killing everyone at the same time.)

How many people do you see moving to South Dakota for the economy?

The economy is NY and CA. no other place matters. not even the suburbs of CT and NJ or Arizona and Nevada.

South Dakota GDP for 3rd quarter 2020 55 billion. Connecticut 283 billion. New York 1705 billion. Sorry i dont see losing any money in these numbers unless it is to pay federal taxes that goes to keep south dakota afloat.

Nope, not true. We knew back as early as November that covid was going to be a huge novel virus. What about CA then .... Their Apex is now.

Wearing a mask in public is all well good and can make a difference, but if you're not social distancing otherwise you're still vulnerable. LA county's heavily Hispanic population isn't helping their numbers. Hispanics are more vulnerable to Covid, but statistically they more often live in multigenerational, more compact housing where they won't be wearing masks. They also are more likely to have jobs that can't be done remotely and their lower than average income means they have to go to work. Hispanics make up 40% of LA County's population but almost 60% of hospitalizations. CA also has very dry air (helps Covid transmit better) and some speculate the bad air in LA has exacerbated the impact with more people having pollution related asthma. CA was also one of the first states to detect the more contagious variant of Covid. It wasn't a travel related case, which means it is well within the community already.

Covid burn-out definitely plays a role, but isn't the only reason it is so bad.

Gee, maybe people listened to the experts and scaled back their holiday plans? Maybe the most vulnerable especially remained careful, which is helping hospital numbers?

FL numbers are somewhat questionable to begin with, but we also do not know how many possibly contracted Covid in FL as visitors but were dx'd at home.
