It’s absurdly inaccurate u less you have some one really, really dedicated to tracking all of the subs and position changes. For youth, that means it’s useless. When it tells you what you want to hear, it is great. When it tells you that your kid sucks, it’s terrible.

I don't know about the overall reliability...I saw a quote about one of the "top" instat performers from Texas- "a big-time offensive performance back on Nov. 8 powered her to a 247 InStat rating, as she scored a goal, completed 72% of her passes and won 4 out of 5 dribbles in a win versus Sting Dallas".

Sting Dallas is the last place team in the conference who went 1-11-1 on the league season and had a -46GD from 16 games (includes showcase games not included in season).

I guess you’re right, lots of staff on these various so called academies are learning on the job, probably same with application of InStat.

The issue is that youth clubs do not have the staff to actually use the tool correctly. Colleges and pro academies and teams have Assistant Coaches on staff, who can correctly tag the video so all players are tracked, with subs and positional changes accurate. Without that you get very unreliable instat reports. The fewer changes, the more accurate it may be.

Empire United was atrocious in GDA, even worse than the worst that LISC had to offer. There are plenty of clubs in the NE that would've provided better competition and are more desirably geographically. This reeks of desperation and just moved GAL down another notch. SMH

GA should limit travel as much as possible and that should be a reason to go there. This is ridiculous. Might as well just play EDP.

Because it impresses dumb parents, the same parents that can't tell good coaching from bad. Most never played the sport before let alone at a high level. In the big sports there's lots of good coaches and parents who know the sport well.
