The numbers are at an all time high right now. How is it you think we should be extra careful? Could it be that it's ok now that there is a new person in office? Our governor has decided to change the bar again. Hmm, makes too much sense.

The metrics are easier than before. The metrics can be high but just need to be on a 10% downward trend. The Puget Sound region is very close. If everyone is extra careful to stop the spread, we”ll get there. Only metric we’re not meeting is new hospital admissions - we’re at -3% and need to be at -10%. Last week we were at +1% so we’re on the right trend. However, new cases trend is still within the metric to go to Phase 2 but is currently on the rise so people need to be more careful. It’s up to all of us. Let’s do it for the kids!

Why would we make the metrics easier is my point? Doesn't seem to make much sense. Trending slightly downward from the all time high makes it ok? Grandma is now ok if we are EXTRA careful?

Sorry, was at the fields doing an “intra-team” scrimmage. One Club, One Team is more than a slogan now.

                    I’m guessing many reasons:
                    1. Psycho anti-maskers, anti-any closing of anything putting constant pressure and even death threats and armed rioting at leaders’ houses.
                    2. Non-psycho people getting lock-down/Covid fatigue too
                    3. Idea/demands that we must open for the economy
                    4. Idea/demands that we must open schools
                    5. Idea/demands that we must open sports & entertainment
                    6. Idea that vaccine roll out will help protect more and more of most vulnerable

Personally agree that the times are worse than they were when we started the “lock downs” and so we should likely be even more careful but too many citizens just want to open everything up. Suspect the new plan and metrics are a compromise. Make it easier but base it on downward trends.

Maybe not the best but at least they are playing. Did your team lose any players to lack of enthusiasm?

Not so far, but we have been extraordinarily active since training opened up. There are a couple that have family situations that increase their COVID risk and they haven’t participated recently. I don’t think anyone will really know until tryout/registration season. Bet all clubs will have a decent amount of attrition.

Would they have to quarantine after going to Idaho/Oregon for league games? Will the WA ECNL season be delayed like California’s? Otherwise, there are out of state league games this month.

                              Mandated by whom?

I don't believe any WA team is going out of state to play ID or OR teams, so not applicable. And to answer the question about who mandated - I believe it came from the governor's office when asked for clarification on out of state travel.
