Stop looking at world-o-meter. Not accurate.
Covid tracking while not a lot better is somewhat better.

A significant part of our case growth is coming still from dramatic increases in testing.

But can testing increases make 'death rates' increase? This is why we need 'died of/with', 'date of death' & nosocomial #'s from our hot states.

Otherwise the fatality numbers are smoke.

Tuesday is a “catch up” day. The deaths are almost all from two weeks ago. Getting caught up from not reporting much over the weekend. That’s why you need to look at the 7 day average. For a Tuesday, that’s actually a pretty low number.

They must have CNN fans at some of these Florida hospitals and labs:

A Florida hospital handling COVID-19 tests confirmed to media this week that its near-100% positivity rate was overstated by a factor of 10, raising already-heightened concerns that numerous labs are over reporting the number of confirmed infections.

The Florida Division of Emergency Management posts a daily coronavirus update on its website, which features a list of the positivity rates of every COVID testing facility in the state. Hundreds of labs and hospitals throughout Florida are regularly testing state residents for the coronavirus.

In recent days, numerous facilities have begun reporting 100% positivity rates, figures significantly higher than the statewide average of around 15%. Many of those labs claim to have tested only one patient, though others with 100% rates report testing dozens and sometimes hundreds of patients.

Orlando news station Fox 35 said on Monday that it undertook an investigation of those "astronomical figures," after which several medical facilities confirmed that their actual positive rates were much lower than those reported to the state government.

The news station reported that area hospital Orlando Health "confirmed errors in the report," with hospital officials stating their their "positivity rate is only 9.4 percent, not 98 percent."

Another Orlando-area lab, Veteran’s Medical Center, listed "a positivity rate of 76 percent," but a company official said that "the positivity rate for the center is actually 6 percent."

The inflated numbers come as Florida has been recording record numbers of COVID-19 infections, though an analysis of state data by Just the News last week revealed that the state's recent record-breaking counts of infections may have been overestimated by as much as 30%.

It is amazing the inaccuracies in the data. It is also amazing that Main Street liberal media organizations are such headline whores. They report but fail to analyze or interpret data and thus mislead.

For example, did you know that only 1.6% of the people without preexisting conditions die? That only 7.6 percent of those without preexisting conditions require hospitalization? Since the denominator has to be under reported because we don’t have 100% of the population tested and because the testing isn’t accurate, that number is most likely way overstated as the numerator is a known (even then, some deaths were not because of covid, ie guy gets in a car crash and dies and he had covid, he is counted as a covid death.) Media makes covid out to be a death sentence because it helps the trump hate narrative. Wake up people!

Everyone should google Florida only counting the positive tests.

You're right it's not a death sentence, but much is still not known about the resulting long term complications from contracting it. Personally, I'd rather be living with all of my faculties.

I don't know you can just ignore 135,000 deaths.

Positivity rate up to 31% in Miami-Dade County; ventilator use at 92%
From CNN’s Rosa Flores and Dan Shepherd in Miami

The Covid-19 positivity rate rose to 31% on Tuesday in Miami-Dade County in Florida, according to data released by local officials.

The county's goal is to not exceed a positivity rate -- how many of those tested are actually infected -- of 10%. Yet it has exceeded 22% for the past two weeks.

The current 14-day average positivity rate is 27%, the data shows.

Over the past 13 days the county has also seen a 56% increase in Covid-10 patients being hospitalized, a 65% increase in ICU beds being used and 92% use of ventilators, according to local government data.

Here is a breakdown of the hospitalization data released by Miami-Dade County Government:

                      Covid-19 patients:

                      7/01: 1298

                      7/14: 2029

                      Patients in ICU beds:

                      7/01: 266

                      7/14: 438

                      Patients on ventilators:

                      7/01: 118

                      7/14: 226

As someone stated above, do a search on how a lot of labs in FL have only been counting the positives.

Um, you will have to wait until I am 80 to get the answer you are looking for. Hope you can wait that long.

135,000 deaths are not ignored but are not relevant in context to all deaths.
Jan - Jun. Just under 1,400,000 people died of all causes in the US. You would think that would be high because of Covid. In fact the almost 1.4 million is low compared to a average year by over 45,000. So for the first half of this year, 45k less people died then a average year.

What that tells me is these 135K were going to die anyway of another cause except that Covid is here and we added that box to the ones that can be checked for cause of death. Yes there are a few exceptions and the MSM finds all of them to scare you.
Not to mention the fed has offered large subsidies to code deaths as Covid to get funds. This creates more cases.

Moroccan seasonal workers trapped in Spain will soon return home, Spanish official says
From CNN's Laura Pérez Maestro in Madrid

The 7,200 Moroccan seasonal workers, stranded in Spain due to Morocco's closed borders, "will return to their country in the next few days" after being tested for Covid-19, a spokesperson for the Spanish Foreign Ministry told CNN.

The seasonal farm workers, most of them women, arrived in Spain to pick fruit in March, but found themselves trapped in Spain's southern Huelva province when the season ended in May.

The Spanish government's decision to return the workers was made after days of negotiations between the Moroccan government, the Spanish Migrations Department and the Regional government of Andalusia — which includes Huelva province.

"The government of Andalusia will facilitate the performance of PCR [polymerase chain reaction] for these workers, as demanded by the Moroccan government", the spokesman said.

The Andalusia government aims to do a 1,000 tests a day, a spokeswoman for Interfresa, one of the biggest strawberry pickers associations in Spain, told CNN.

"The first 1,200 workers will leave in Saturday from Hueva's port on a Moroccan ferry," Ana López, spokeswoman for the government's delegation in Andalusia confirmed to CNN.

The news will come as a relief for the works, who have been surviving on almost no money and living in precarious conditions, according to a statement released earlier last week by a group of Spanish and Moroccan non-governmental human rights organizations, including local Andalusian group Mujeres 24h.
