Our latest BoE meeting laid out in a pretty straightforward manner why we won't be getting access to school facilities any time soon.
The guidelines coming out of NY State are rather extensive, requiring temperature taking, contact tracing, mandatory PPE and much more. The schools don't have the budget to assign someone on their end to make sure that the clubs are following all the rules on this and they don't trust the clubs to do it on their own without such supervision. And as a result they see loaning out fields as a legal liability that they cannot risk having.
I'm not saying that I agree with them on the legal liability, but a lot of school districts are going to take this position.
