US Soccer needs to stop this charade or be replaced. They need to do a better job of turning over rocks and finding talent everywhere, regardless of their club, coach, or pedigree. US Soccer methodologies and current scouting system is an abomination for both genders and they better get their act together.
Who would replace US Soccer and conduct this intensive search you suggest here? How should they actually go about finding talent "everywhere"? What costs do you think would be associated with that effort? How would that effort actually be made?
Isn't it easy to just bitch about it instead of offering salient solutions for the soccer community to ponder?

This is another classic reason why US soccer sukkks! - and it’s the seniority approach with the BSCs, CFCs and others -not that these clubs don’t have elite players but more that the clubs like Yankee are ignored.
An NT recruit wouldn’t dare show up at an NPL game but Personally JM doesn’t need that EARLY nonsense anyways she’ll get her turn if she continues to develop on the college level.
How is Yankee United being ignored? Do they not have the ability to participate in events and showcases as other clubs can?
Have you any proof that a NT recruit wouldn't dare to show up at an NPL game? Are you stating categorically that there has never been a NT recruit that played in an NPL game?
Are you that myopic?

2 CFC kids get camp invites -they dont stay invited but the invites seem to be the trophy here
yet the best player in the same state doesnt get the invite and the same guy has seen all 3 kids (they are all good )- now there is a year difference and that may be reason. but 2 CFC invites none for YU
again i dont think its a YU thing i think its a CFC in thing

they dont give a **** about budget when they invite these kids to camp - a week in Cali or yexas on the kids dime
want to get serious about recruiting the best?- invite the kids USSF is willing to pay the freight for- now you will get some serious evaluation of talent because now its going to cost $5K a mistake

This isn't a fault of CFC but the system overall. If CFC was that spiteful they wouldn't have even included her. Or, USSF just wasn't interested.

Opposing coaches with ties to us soccer, odp, league showcases, etc.
If your not as good as some people think, the reason is club size, league, race, etc. pick an excuse.
I wish the kid well, but my guess is she fades out. UConn is a wasteland for women’s soccer right now. Once again, if a tree falls in the forest and no one is there to hear it, did it make a sound? Maybe she tops out as all New England second team as a senior. That doesn’t get you a nt invite. Again, there are kids on the bench at top 10 programs who have nt experience.
Good player and fun to watch, but over rated and unprepared for the next level.
