Really poorly managed. They still haven’t updated the website. No word on games tomorrow. Easily the worst tournament management I’ve ever seen.

Agreed... schedule was not published til 9:30 pm last night and I'm sure 11 fields worth of games moving from MYSA to the southern reaches of the state doesn't help with the ref situation as only the most dedicated will drive out of their way. Isn't there a new 6 field complex in Fitchburg, plus now you have 4 fields at the Stars Complex not being used at least for this tournament? Seems like a little creativity and planning from NEFC management would have solved this one.

Or how about this. It is mid November, we live in New England. You see a tournament offered. Don't sign up. What in the world are you people thinking!!!! And there is one next weekend (GPS) and one the weekend after (Stars College Showcase). Use your head people!!!

How much does playing in this tournament really affect your child's development?

But GPS makes an effort to get every field plowed and playable, resulting in very few cancellations due to playing conditions AFTER the field was cleared. These guys made ZERO effort to clear fields.

Did they really think the snow was going to melt overnight? They are either some of the most incompetent buffoons ever or are just laughing all the way to the bank.
          Probably both.

Now I understand a former NEFC coaches comments to me when he said their meetings are a collaboration of some of the most degenerate humans he has ever been involved with.

How about this.... we all know it’s November in NE. You pay a fee for a tournament realizing we could get a blizzard a day before. That’s not what we are talking about here. This is a couple of inches on fields which IF NEFC made even the slightest effort, would have been playable. Incompetent and unprofessional at its height.

Refund fees or add tourney this was a total lack of effort and planning on Nefc part

                Inane post.

We're talking mid November not mid January. Fall league just ended within the last week or two for most teams. I have lived in new england for 15 years and I can count one or two times we have gotten material amounts of snow before thanksgiving. There was an extremely high chance we wouldn't get snow so why would serious teams not sign up for one last outdoor tournament before teams are cooped up indoors for the next 3-4 months.

Finally had an afternoon game at Taunton.

These are turf fields at Forekicks, and it was obvious at 4pm that they had shoveled/plowed between the cancelled 10am game and played 2:30 game. So the point is that plowing/shoveling was an option to be used, and it wasn’t used until it was too late.

So why didn’t they do that Friday night, and then make sure the field was playable Saturday morning? The air temp, sun, lack of wind actually made conditions perfect for matches. Sat was a beautiful Fall morning. But the idiots hadn’t prepared and cleared the artificial turf, so hundreds of families drove for hours only to turn around to go home.

Pitiful. Just a piss-poor showing by NEFC. A minimal amount of planning, thought, or effort would have changed everything.

Whatever needed to be planned, managed, and communicated, NEFC did it poorly.

So you don’t think college coaches showed up to fields only to find a snow covered surface at all yesterday?

The DA Showcase in Florida will be warm and the fields will be beautiful grass.

And over half the games will be blowouts.

Mendon wasn't even plowed and it's there own fields. Also they didn't even communicate to their own teams. NEFC teams showed up in multiple locations only to find out games were canceled while opposing teams knew.. Clowns

How did GPS manage to get fields plowed for the younger kids this past weekend and NEFC could not do it for a showcase? We were in Bedford, NH--games pushed back 1 hour across the board on Saturday--no cancellations.
