Have to do it at the younger ages, where 1 kid completely dominates. Find the overbearing father who is dumb enough to believe that his kid will get a college scholarship 10 years down the road because his kid is so much better. Become friendly with him, he will do all the heavy lifting and enjoy the haters. Keep inflating his ego, and keep telling him his kid is the only reason the team is great and they need him. He already believes it, but keep reinforcing. From there, suggest paths to make his team, then club better. He will keep pushing, more and more, until he threatens to take his kid to another program if he does not get his way. He will do it, and you will be an innocent bystander. Club will decide to keep the family and give him his way or throw him out. Either way, you have cover.Comment

If it is a non-for-profit corporation (as most are) then you need to read the corporate bylaws and (quietly) plan for the next board election. They will be required to allow the members (the paying participants) vote. If you quietly plan on bringing a bunch of parents, they won't spend the week before trying to rally their allies to come and you can vote out a bunch of them. Typically the terms are staggered so you will need to be more organized the following year when you can expect a fight. I would expect the coup to take 2 elections. If they don't hold an annual meeting of members, then they are in violation of state law and their bylaws (I'm sure) and you can force an election.Originally posted by Unregistered View PostComment
