Fsa has good 2007 team only due to 2 players. Without them top scorers ,clubs like sporting who have more diverse talented kids on the 2007 including some I heard are 2008 will be better teams if they stay together. Not sure about 2007 cfc team. Still don't understand why all this talent in CT doesn't always just play each other.
the 3 big clubs wont play each other because CFC and FSA dont want to lose their top players to OW and its style of play, possession vs kick ball. its a much more attractive style to the top players at other clubs and only the top 1-2 players at the other clubs can play the possession style game. i give sporting credit they'll play anyone.

Please! You are foaming kool aid at the mouth middle school Dad!

OW older teams just got embarrassed last month at their National event. That’s not appealing to any top player anywhere in the country

The top players from 16-18 in CT don’t play in Portland and your kid isn’t national team material

Congrats on the win against Sporting though

When you have nothing to lose you will play anywhere, anytime. Sporting want to believe they are in the same game as the big boys. They are not. They have some good players and some good teams but Sporting will always struggle at retention. You also cannot discount Vale. Vale may not be as strong since the split but they are highly motivated to succeed and will continue to work their asses if 24-7. With competitors in the same local marketplace it will be difficult. You also have options like FSA, Ginga and Oakwood within reasonable driving distance. I do not see Sporting as being built for the long haul.

With that in mind I am sure it will all change again come tryout as it does every year coaches players all kinda mix up you don’t see consistency for better or worse untill u14

CFC 07 are strong??? they finished at the bottom of that league last fall (2018)! get your facts straight.

ECNL showcase in FLA this weekend, report back on monday with results of the CFC teams. my guess there not going to be any different from OW teams at their national showcase.

Wait, it sounds as if you are putting Vale ahead of Sporting .... is this Mrs. W or Mrs. E?

You think they won’t win a single match and have a differential of -35 like Oakwood?

                I’ll take that bet

CFC 2007 has two branches in the Northeast NPL league - one out of Stamford, and the other out of Bridgeport. Both are mid-table after the fall season. Not sure about your "facts".

CFC has 2 branches in the NE NPL both are competitive in that bracket but to say they are bottom is crazy considering that the league table is not recorded at u12 in the NPL scores can however be seen and it’s a mixed bag. Get your facts straight.

Kids playing ECNL usually have 2 games per weekend. And half the time the games require travel to Boston, NJ or farther. Add in showcases. No offense to OW, but why in the world would any ECNL team care to go play OW in a meaningless game when they already have a packed schedule? To brag about being the "best" team in CT? Please.

You just outlined the problem with youth soccer structure in the USA. Too many games/leagues, and way too much travel. It would make sense to have CFC, FSA and OW play on a consistent basis, but since we have disparate leagues all claiming to be the "best", we (the consumers) are left wondering and debating endlessly as to who is top dog.

And CFC, FSA and OW like it that way.

CFC had 2 2007 teams in NE NPL in the fall. Blue team was OK, white team was not good.

i agree why all the travel out of state to play? 3 big clubs in the same state should play on a consistant basis. if one is claiming there better than the other ect. play each other, should be competetive games then. all in state and within a 35 minute drive! now that makes sense!!!

Both teams have tremendous potential. Next year, they will be bringing up the best players from their satellite branches and other studs who tryout from outside clubs. That’s when it will be game over for the almighty FSA 2007s.
