There should not be an “end game” in anything. If you’re only doing something to receive a benefit, you’re selling yourself short and doing it an injustice. Do what you do because you want to and need to. “End games” are for spoiled idiots.

For the parents, they look at it as an investment, hoping to get a return on it, while hopefully enjoying the ride even if they don’t. When it’s over, it’s over. And for most it’s in college. Some people prefer to begin their lives at that point, and work a real job that actually pays a livable wage instead of hanging on to a pipe dream. I get that you live for USNT soccer, but most don’t care. That’s reality. You need to get a life.
