That would surprise me if they were all done. I thought for sure SCP would go under first. Everton has taken a serious tumble, especially on girls side. Revolution on the ropes and Shoreline FC is in life support. Rush out of Taft also got decimated.

They don't have teams for the fall. People finally realized that they do not develop players.

Not the poster but last year they didn't have U11 or U12 teams. U13 and U14s did very poorly. Tough to build for future teams if your younger teams aren't there. Really their one HS aged team is the only decent one.

I posted this on a thread about a big drop in youth soccer participation. All of those clubs might be in trouble given current trends nationwide and in CT

Youth soccer in the US is not in good shape. During the WC several articles covered the large drops in participation just in the last few years among younger players - the high cost, too much travel, frustrations with clubs and poor coaching, probably the age change for some kids too. Then in CT we have more people moving out than in, especially with families, because of the cost of living and poor economic climate. Many districts are shuttering schools. If you're not a strong club with a good position in the market you may be in serious trouble. There's too many clubs, not enough talent. The soccer landscape has needed a good weeding out for awhile, but it's not going to be pretty.

Website shows only one u13 team. The rest are HS aged U15+. 5 teams in total. Wow. When my kid was there (a while ago) they had full teams u11-u18.

The got a travel team from Monroe, without a tryout. Only one player was good from that team. Good luck to all the Monroe parents now traveling to NPL games. Their time is over.

Seem to remember this happening a few years back- worked out well for YU and the team did well - and it started out with everyone ****ting on the move

That was their (mostly current) U17s when they were U11s. That was a one off and will never happen again as 1) the club is a shell of its former self. 2) the world has changed. NPL is a distant # 3 and top players go ECNL or GDA now. 3) Their so called college recruiting has been show to be a sham.
