Couldn't agree more. This place has become a 24x7 Fred bashfest. I get it, to some extent, but is there nothing else to talk about in world of youth soccer in Mass? There is a very unhealthy obsession about him that is borderline frightening.

The players that will show up are players that have been deemed 'bubble players' for ECNL and NPL after FCB Id clinics which is completely justifiable. There are likely very good players that were not offered early spots so if they can avoid being strung along why not. Why wait around to see IF they get an offer. With the uncertainty of the birth year change it makes sense to make early offers to players but the risk is that the players that don't get offers will look elsewhere either during Id clinics or tryouts.

Here is a question for you: how do you know for sure that players that were offerered are sticking around? I know of players that were offered that are still shopping around. If they are good to be offered now, it is not likely it will change in a month. Some families are not falling for the bluff and they are waiting to see how this season pans out.

FcB is happy to have the players that don't make it to BB academy or Stars. They all pay after all.

If they are good to be offered now, it is not likely it will change in a month. Some families are not falling for the bluff and they are waiting to see how this season pans out.
