Oakwood is top of the table and FC Boston hung with them. The U16 group has been very competitive and not overmatched at this level at all. The U18 group certainly appears to be struggling, but they are u18 so does that really matter? I believe the new direction and leadership with BA being more involved now that he has more time and the ability of DC to recruit this will quickly close the gap on several other academy teams.
Do not forget that after next year the talent pool will likely leave GPS, Valeo, and NEFC as the DAP has given those clubs u12 spots, but they will not get past that and have been told as such. Once those kids and families get a taste of the academy and how different it is than Maple and NEP I cannot imagine them wanting to go back if they are the best of the best.Comment
