Um, some team parents are pretty crazy.
I know one that emails the DOC and lists out names of kids who are missing games. Who tells the team coaches if goalkeepers aren't going to goalkeeping practice. Who shares off season injury information with coaches.
All in an effort to get team parents kid ahead.

Hands down most parents whose kids are on a successful U11 team. They think winning a decent tournament or state title means all their kids will get D1 scholarships.

From a popcorn-eating perspective, it was awesome.
As a lesson for society, troubling.

Everyone is trying to show off they are better than the next kid. Parents think their kids is going to be the next super star at u12 and u13.
Soccer is a team sport so the kids need to learn to use individual skill in the context of team play.No one in America plays enough soccer to be a Messi or Ronaldo but they could turn out to be a Geoff Cameron - good size, tough, technical and tactical proficient .
