Call it what it is. A subsidy for all Thorns players. Middle and upper class (no poor kids on any of those rosters). Subsidies are nice. But you are still pay to play and you haven't done a thing so solve the problem of elite soccer being out of reach for poor kids.

The teams they play and the coaches they have don't have an actual dollar value and the consumer can certainly decide if they value them or not, but remember there are no truly valued or distinguished coaches at any club or DA currently, this could change in the future.
