Name the 3 clubs. Someone asked the question and it wasn't answered.

      Probably 4-5 at this point.

This will all come to a head at some point.

Arrogance and ignorance is going to catch up with he timbers and thorns.

In other words, you lied. You made the whole thing up.

It is try outs time of the year.

Nothing wrong with profiting. This is America. If you are jealous you didn't get to the spigot first that's a little and petty.

Actually it's virtually impossible to tell the difference between the for-profit Soccer clubs and those named wink..wink..nudge..nudge 'NON'-Profit Soccer clubs in today's landscape.

The true irony is the local non-profit staffers and front office types bring home as much if not more bank than 1st Team starters on the MLS Timbers squad.

I'm not sure why you would post this false statement. There was only one 04 boy from PCU at the Timbers Academy tryouts and he wasn't selected. One other player accepted a direct offer (no tryout). So in grand total, one 04 PCU boy is going to academy this year.

There aren't people making over $150,000 as DOCs.

Do some research...its verified by 990s..takes time to reveal. Yes some Doc's make more than 150k a year..avg closer to 115 to 120 for the 15 highest paid club employees not all DOC"s if that helps.

Stranger that Timbers pr department (or alliance apologists) are concerned enough about this thread that they throw up red hearing, such as how incredibly successful the MLS monopoly is at suppressing player salaries.

Good job MLS! You can pay folks at the bottom of your pyramid less than non-profits can.

Not really sure what your point is, but at least post the correct information:

                            http://www.spotrac.com/mls/portland-timbers/

I doubt if there are 15 DOCs that make over $100K.

                            How about less than 5.

You should see the salaries for the professional thorns. The ladies working part time at Walgreens across the street are high rollers in comparison.

And much much more than the average Thorns player.
