Actually, the poster you are responding too is correct. By the way, the post "Sorry your DD got cut..." has to be the weakest come back of all time. Michael Jordan got cut a few times.

THUSC and FC do not bring many players through their system that have been at the club all their lives. That is a red flag right there! FC do bring more through than THUSC though. These clubs do not have the plan or staff to develop players from the start. Unfortunately, if you have a good female player take a pick from the 'best' of the worst. Go to FC and become an average player with some soccer IQ or join THUSC and become a nasty player with no soccer IQ.

Why do you think the kids who spend the longest time at those clubs never end up achieving as high as the ones that were fooled into joining late that were probably already developed.

We all know at least one cu or fcp crazy parent or lying coach that will sell you anything.

Just ask the loyal parents there, they ll tell you that it's all smoke and mirrors.
I can think of at least four players right off the bat in the last few years from FCP and THUSC that have been to national team camps, and began playing in those clubs prior to 12 years old. In addition to the many that have gone on to play college at all levels. Other clubs can do a fine job in certain ages of development, but these 2 clubs have proven to be the best over the years. At least on the girls side.

Have 100% of their players going to college been there since 11? No! But no club can make that claim, including most in the nation. Even the Sounders claim Yedlin as their player. Timbers do the same, as will the Thorns.

I am guessing 90% of Onyx has been there since u10. A few were not originals - one relocated, one left NEU, one left Eastside, one left Timbers. Not sure what you mean by stating THUSC doesn't bring many players thru their system

Boom!! I knew you would be a crazy THUSC parent. Are you still whining about the loss of your messiah? Don't worry, you have a female version of Tom at your club. Onyx was a special group. They did bring in lots of players in the later years (and they also let a lot go. Mainly the good characters and team players) Can you name me anther team? Naming one team from two clubs that have been around for 50 years total is not a good return. ZZZzzzzzzz I'll be waiting.

If you look at 04G standings top three are Eastside, Thusc, NEU.
The two clubs that have ECNL... FC Portland and Crossfire, are nowhere to be seen in this age group yet those clubs will promote about 75 percent of those lower division girls to ECNL and then hope to poach the talent from the other clubs to carry the teams. Sad. With GDA the TA clubs will no longer feed ECNL so there go your Eastside Timbers. NEU is now in some bs merger with FC and BSC but those top players will go to GDA if it's cheaper and more convenient practice field than Liberty/UofP. Do that leaves Thusc to feed Crossfires bleak existence with whatever outliers they can find from other Westside teams. FCP will grab about two kids from BSC. Awesome.

Honest question. Who paid for the GPS franchise fee? My understanding is that it is 50K plus licensing fees.

Not sure but your question has absolutely nothing to do with quote you responded to. Unless you are trolling?

Both FC and CU have many many players on their U18 teams that have been at the clubs their entire career.

As for the players they "bring in", why do you think those players leave their "starter" clubs, if those "starter" clubs are so great? We all know the answer, but the TA lemmings refuse to believe it.

Honestly, sorry your DD got cut, again. Must suck after watching her chase down all those moonshots all those years at your TA club.

Results aren't a very good measure of development at the younger ages. Most often, kids and teams that win a lot at Ulittle don't play high level soccer once they hit HS age. And you can't directly compare the ECNL clubs vs the rest of Oregon at the HS ages as they no longer play each other. However, you can compare the numbers of girls that go on to play college soccer from each club, and it's clear that the ECNL clubs are so far out in front on that measure that all the rest of the clubs in Oregon COMBINED don't measure up.

OR ECNL teams play the ugliest bootball I have ever seen.

You must have never watched Timbers Alliance or Thorns Academy games then...

Boys team couldn't field a full team in state cup this weekend? That is a disgrace.
