To make tournament brackets, you have to estimate team strength one way or another. The LP ranks puts match data through an algorithm to estimate strength and puts a number to the estimated strength. You can click the 'team' heading to get the teams listed alphabetically instead of by strength estimate.

The girls G06-G00 ratings have been updated with last of league games and OYS U11-U14 Founders and Presidents Cup. I've extended to G00 but those tables won't stabilize until 4-5 RCL, OYS and PSPL league games come in for G01 & G00. That won't happen until mid-Feb. Also I have yet to add in the out-of-state tournaments for G00 (like Surf), so many of the top teams don't have 7 games yet and don't appear on the main tables.

The Match Predictor widget in the left navbar lets you get a match prediction based on the model.

FAQs:
Why 'rank' little kids? So league and tournament directors can create league and tournament brackets with similar strength teams. Also helps teams figure out how strong they are so they can chose good tournament levels.
For a big regional tournament with teams coming in from all over the PNW and some teams playing up, is is really hard to figure out good brackets. Some kind of 'strength rating' algorithm is one way to do that based on data from games played---rather than guessing or simple 'name recognition'.
