Don't think USSF could care less about Thorns Oregon. When was the last time you saw an Oregon girl on the USWNT? Their focus is SoCal and hotbed areas. Oregon is the red-headed step child they throw a bone to once in awhile.

Bingo. Wish Thorns GDA was following USDA and was really going to run a GDA program like the boys. Even the uLittle DA boys will have a minimum of 4x/wk trainings, etc.

The great GDA. Brought to you by the same clowns that brought you Oregon ODP. You remember that don't you? The same people you cried and bit*hed about on here every year for their ineptitude. Now you're loving these same guys cause they can save you a buck. You'll be back on here bitching the second things don't go your way again. That's who you are. Blame someone else. Listen maybe it's not always everyone else's fault. Maybe, just maybe, it's you. Here's to wishing you finally find your happiness club hopper. Deuces.

The USDA for girls is great & here in town all travel, food & lodging is covered. Finally a platform for the top talent in our little NW corner of the states.

All the best to the local clubs in their new adventures.

                1) Mandated a minimum of 4 trainings per week.
                2) Didn't allow HS soccer or any other soccer of any kind besides national team commitments.
                3) Didn't allow other HS sports
                4) Didn't charge a tryout fee
                5) Didn't play more than one match per weekend
                6) Had all & only top notch coaches who had developed multiple youth national team players
                7) Rostered only the top players in the state with no friend, family, club bias
                8) Etc.
Thorns don't have to follow the rules.

THORNS breaking news: A basketball coach has been selected to head up a the 03 program. His comments " My extensive background in coaching major basketball programs will segue nicely into girls soccer. Full court press will be the motto of my defence (yes USDA requires the 'c' be used for defense). Hook shot will be the motto of our corner kicks. 3 pointer will be focus of smaller players taking shots outside the 18. 'Free throw' ins will be way better than SHAQs. 3 second rule will be enforced. No one inside the box for more than 3 seconds. Amazing innovation will be coming oh and wait until you hear my ideas on rebounding!"
And we already made March Madness - with 53 DA teams total we're a 14 seed from Day 1!
