Abby Wambach -> Hall of Fame

“But nothing you did before the National Team matters – not your high school medals or your college goals. In the National Team you have to bring one thing that no one else can.”

Curious why you chose to add that specific quote?

Because of the ongoing debate on here about the best club, stars on shirts, etc. It just seemed appropriate to share.

And no one's kid on this board will become an NT player that represents the US internationally. Not even sure there's anyone who could go pro right now from CT. ANy players on a NCAA title winner? Nope. To the vast majority of players their experiences in high school, club and college DO matter. But most players and parents don't give a crap about league or inter-club squabbles; they just care about their kids' team and club. It's the club owners that keep trying to slam their competitors. There's so many clubs and not much talent to fight over.

And she's one of the greatest women players in US Soccer history.

And all they can do is fixate on her sexual orientation, her body size/shape and make snide comments about her anatomy.

The thinking river does not run very deep for many of the contributors here.

Did a lot of drugs too.

Rather my kid topped out as an average starter at an average soccer program in college then a divorced coke sloot that checked herself into rehab after being disgraced with a DUI pic plastered in the national news who scored a lot of goals for the US National Team

No worries there. Your progeny will always under perform.
