On the boys side, nothing to worry about, the Union will continue a flow of kids to Delco. The Hawks guys didn’t meet the standards of the Union, and they also failed to understand that Delco doesn’t really run the Delco DA, the Union do. They eventually learned the hard way. The Union want yes men! Also, the Hawks guys had zero involvement with the girls program. Surprisingly Continental did fine for a few years, especially on a local level. Those early girls teams at Continental were built with Westmont and Spirit players, and now those days are gone. The girls numbers are poor and roster stability is non-existent. Kids no longer come to practice. The better girls have either gone on to college, moved to Penn Fusion or have gone back to NJ which now offer GDA and ECNL at two better clubs. The teams coming up are some of the worst in the ECNL. The leadership at Delco with the girls program is beyond shocking and are not capable of fixing this mess.

They have a new ECNL director so we'll see what he can do and they grabbed a couple coaches from PF. Their 04-06 teams are a lost cause but their 07 team should be decent- not near PDA level though.
They are only practicing/playing in Conshy now, no more Dowingtown. It should help them recruit the Lower Merion girls (which is what they should be focused on).

The new ECNL Director, what is this persons experience with coaching girls? There must be an extensive history coaching girls at a high level to become the ECNL director. How many years of high level girls coaching experience does the person have? What kind of success on the field, like winning championships in the ECNL or GDA, or top tournaments and showcases? It’s not always about winning, so does this person have an extensive background with women’s college scouts? I would imagine the track record of moving girls on to college must be impressive. Most people aren’t familiar with any of the girls leadership at FC Delco since none of it is on the website, and there seemed to be a lot of unknowns at tryouts, even with who was coaching what teams, and what coaches were returning to coach next year. No doubt all these people must be great, we really should get that info on the website as a tool to attract players from Lower Merion and the likes. Certainly what is being provided at Delco has to be better.

What girls club is worse right now, FC Bucks or Delco?
Lots of questions surrounding directors at Bucks and Delco. How much do these guys get paid? Are they bad because they can’t get better people because they don’t pay enough?

Things can improve at any club with the right leadership. With the re-brand Delco is obviously heading in a new direction, so we'll see what happens in a couple years. I wouldn't put my u15/16 there but it's still an option for the younger ones.

FC Delco, not enough good players to play ECNL, and in some cases not enough players at all, but lots of people that don't have a clue what they are doing!!
