Nope. Revs have the monopoly because they just attract the best due to them being MLS and free. There are a few Bolts and Seacoast players that are of the same or better quality than Revs players (like the ones who are starters in D1 this year) but those are few and far between.

The Revs organization made the conscious decision to cease any recruiting efforts going forward.

I don't think it matters what the clubs do from a college recruiting standpoint. The college coaches come to the DA games to find the best players. They don’t need to involve the clubs.

The Revs are building their teams with players that are motivated to be professionals rather than students. Those players aren’t recruitable for several reasons. When most of a team’s players are unrecruitable it results in less scouting by college coaches. Look at the 2019 commitments from the Revs and the number of current U19 Revs players trying to salvage something with a gap year. The Revs don’t care. They won’t help. Like Belichick, they’re on to the next potential homegrown.

Not even close to true and hasn't been for at least 5 years. Most of the best kids don't go to Revs any more because of the program and the complete lack of recruiting support. The market now knows that you get what you pay for with Revs. They have a few very good players, but more better (and smarter) players are at Bolts, NEFC and GPS.

Doesn’t make sense. So if they like your playing ability they won’t take you unless your HS GPA is low?!?

Smarter academically yes perhaps, but better soccer players overall (again - few exceptions like the Seacoast player this year) absolutely NOT. Just look at the DA scores from last year and previous. Why do u think they split the DA?

Very true. The revs hater is the revs thread’s sole poster. A jilted revs parent who has some personal beef with the revs.

One of the smallest D1 classes recently which is good IMO, but 6of 35 starting or 16%. Take note.

Let’s get back to the thread please.

Have you consulted the U15 and U17 tables from the 2018-2019 season?

I really don’t care about U15 (too early)
U17s were spotty (I heard the coach was god awful which has a lot to do with it so can’t completely fault the players)

...but the Revs U19s ran circles around Bolts and Seacoast.
Their starting 11 was unbelievable. Again don’t get me wrong - there are exceptions- two or three Bolts players and one or two Seacoast players. But by and large Revs players were at a higher level.
