Most did really badly two weekends ago in FL, even some of the "better" teams because its all relative. Boys is the complete opposite around us. From reading here time to time it seems like people aren't happy with either option in FL. Pick your poison and the club with the best coaching you can find. Really its about all you can do, get through it the best you can
What’s doing pretty good mean? Winning? Lol it’s about the 4 days a week da curriculum

Garbage training 4 days a week is still garbage. It's the same trainers as 18 months ago. If you're going 0- 3 for the weekend with nothing on the board and a -10 GD (or even worse) you're not learning enough

DA curriculum with rest and recovery mandates yet the DA girls are playing high school. PT players or anything goes to recruit from other clubs. No across the board rules or curriculum.

The ECNL cost is out of control and no way is it worth it and that reason alone will make kids leave ECNL. If you can now have an option to play with your state cup team and still play PT with a DA club that’s going to be attractive to a lot of players I guarantee you. It doesn’t matter why the DAs are taking more part time players now all that matters is some players will definitely want to stay with their current club team and also play in DA and you can’t do that in ECNL, period.
Other than the club's prerogative, or game conflict what prevents a girl(S) playing on ECNL team from guest playing on the state cup team? Or in reverse girl(S) from the team bellow the club's ECNL can guest play on the ECNL club as much as the club allows them to.

Sometimes with soccer or any sport, the training is good, as far as what they are doing on the field but coaches today too often seem to under prioritize the human aspect. The fail to emphasize the aspects that will make the team successful by not holding all the players accountable who refuse to do so. You can watch any game, and those players stand out like a sore thumb.

Bring back where the players learn to hold each other accountable to the team, an element of sports that is so beneficial and a real skill that can be taken with one in life. That requires the coach to set the example, and have the courage to put that first even if it means they might lose a game in the short term, but gain in the long term.

I could count on one hand and have fingers left over the number of coaches my kid has had that are willing to do that since they were 8 through playing ECNL and now DA.

There simply aren't enough quality coaches out there for all theses "top" leagues. There's also too much emphasis on winning. DA claims it isn't about wins, yet they have a ranking system and if you're not at the top you don't make playoffs. If you're at the bottom you might lose your badge. GDA is still young but there is a system in place to hold clubs accountable. They first get put on probation and if they still fail to deliver they can use their badge. BDA has booted clubs out or taken away some teams to motivate clubs to get their act together. it doesn't happen often but it does. A two-tiered system of promotion and relegation would also help - don't perform and you're in the B bracket. Better enforcement of coach licensure requirements is also needed. many BDA coaches still don't have their licenses and they've had years to comply.

I also think that certain DOC's in SFL don't want to bring in other good coaches, as they are a threat. Look at the coaching staff of many of the larger clubs in SFL. Leadership as most of the clubs has not changed. Other than Weston boys, what other club is doing well outside the area? What changes have those clubs made to improve? How often do you see clubs do a national search for coaches? There does not seem to be an effort to bring in new coaches or DOC's.

                  How will that affect ECNL?
It won't affect ECNL at all. The only thing that would have any affect on ECNL would be if GDA allowed HS Soccer. Until then, ECNL will be stronger in FL.

Girls want to play HS Soccer.

Girls just want to have fun and do it all. They don't want to rest in the winter GDA break and are playing high school anyways. Look at the GDA rule breakers. Next year those high school coaches who choose to take on GDA players for ten games to try to win the state championship will be blackballed.

Instead of being a putz and throwing that out every chance you get, man up and name the club, school and players so they can be busted. Otherwise, you're just troll making trouble. Back up you claim or quit whining about it.

Blackballed by who? How? GDA has no power over, control of or any affiliation with HS Soccer. This is a ridiculous claim. Humerous really.

More importantly there is no state violation in a coach taking DA players for their HS team. As long as they meet all state regs and qualifications no one is blackballed. In some other states there are state rules about doing club and HS at the same time but not here.

Playing HS is a DA violation. However, the enforcement is largely up to the clubs. EEasy enough for them to look the other way for the players they want to keep. thus far there have been few repercussions for players who don't follow the rules. If USSF cracked down on it, either with expulsion or a substantial game ban, players would obey.

The State High school association doesn't want to get involved and create a separate rule for ladies soccer. The high school coaches schedule their own games and next year the coaches are not required to play every school in their district and they can schedule with whatever schools they so choose. The high school coaches are going to band together and not schedule to play high schools who allow GDA players to pop onto their teams after the holidays or they will be sure to schedule the games at the beginning of the season when their is no chance of GDA players showing up to play.
