This is what you get when you have a bunch of soccer trainers/coaches in the soccer business world. I'm betting a facility emergency action plan was not (and still is) not developed.

SUSSA fail
Originally posted by Unregistered View PostIf the contractor knowingly blocked an entrance with equipment that's also on them.
not to worry though, the susa insurance will cover the lawsuit.
However the premiums will be higher moving forward.
expect more tuition hikes in the summer.

SUSSA fail
Originally posted by Unregistered View PostYou have to be a special kind of stupid to think it's ok to block an entrance/exit. That said yes they should have checked the area before letting in the public
Was the contractor working there on Friday or the week leading up to the event? answer is NO.
If there was an issue, the SUSA people should have alerted the contractor the day before to clear the area. (the SUSA people are there 7 days a week).
It all falls back on SUSA.

Maybe someone should notify the family of the injured girl about the facility's negligence. Sounds like it would make good conversation between an attorney and an insurance company.

SUSA had medical staff on site the whole weekend. Trainer was there within 2 minutes. SUSA tournament staff were there within the same time span and field marshall was there the whole time. Ambulance was there within 12 minutes. DPW drive is currently closed and under construction, there is no access to the facility that way. DPW drive is a town roadway. There is one main entrance to the facility, the Ambulance missed that and immediately turned round, it may have taken an extra 20 seconds to get there.
All entrances to fields for ambulances were clear. EMTs decided not to drive the ambulance on the field. EMTs did their job and managed to get the girl to hospital as soon as possible.

It was significantly longer before what you are calling the "trainer" arrived. Every parent there watched in horror at how SUSA handled this. As for the EMTs, you're out of your mind. They never put a neck collar on the girl despite the clear evidence of a head injury (her eye was the size of a baseball) and then instead of putting her on a back board, these idiots sat her up. When they did, her head literally flopped back, it was awful. But they weren't done screwing up, they then tried to stand her up despite the fact that she was completely unable to do so and then finally when they got her on the stretcher, her head was literally hanging off the side. You are the lowest piece of sh%$ for even trying to defend SUSA and/or the EMTs, both did EVERYTHING wrong.
Don’t get nervous but you might be an important part of this case.
