He is the King of the build-up and let-down. Another clunker announcement, as some astute people mentioned here.

Good for the top teams. Not so good for the lower level teams. Why give up HS if you're in the B level and will hardly play the MLS clubs?

You are correct. Hardly playing against the best when facing other non MLS teams. How is that different than Boys ECNL and why should boys give up high school

Also limits your kids exposure to those MLS teams coaches. Some kids make the MLS teams due to their exposure to the MLS coaches. If also limits the college coaches that may be following them.

Why water down DA status.. If your team cannot compete at the highest level than you should not be classified as DA, bottom Line. Play EDP or ECNL if that's the case.

Many have argued and I agree - DA is too big. Too many players, trams and clubs that aren't helping to improve the nation 's top talent.

                  This is a huge deal.

Essentially tiering the DA. So all the crap teams will play all the crap teams and won't be able to recruit on the promise of playing NYCFC, Red Bull etc.

And the good teams will get to travel more!

I don't think scoop means what you think it means. How can you get scooped by a public press release?

By posting it all ... Larry still hasn't posted it yet. He posts PR all the time. Crickets from him

What does that tell you that he's posted about Globall Co-Ed soccer league but not the most significant change to the DAP since it started

Exactly. The less high level teams, the better the talent. But they absolutely need to go residential. It's absurd some only train 4-5 hours / week and one game. No U15+ can remain competitive with such minuscule training.

A few clubs out west are doing residential programs, but a handful isn't sufficient to make a significant dent. Obviously there is an enormous cost. As it is clubs are spending a lot of money to train players, almost none of whom will ever become a homegrown for them. They just can't justify the cost, and if it' supposed to be about the talent and not parental income then you can't ask parents to foot the bill either.

First US Soccer needs a top league so we form DA

Then we need professional academies so we have MLS Academies

11 years later we fail to make the World Cup and now we need residential academies

We need better coaching and better curriculums for the kids to develop

How many professional academies are in London, Barcelona, Paris or any other major European cities. How many people are in Iceland? How many people are in the US?

We need less for profit premier leagues, less politics in US soccer and the MLS, we need better educated coaches, we need better club structure. How can we expect to develop professional players with clubs like SUSA, Met Oval, BWG being considered a viable option for "premier" players?
