The one good thing FSA B teams do is give 50% playing time. They don't stick the worse players on the bench all game. Well, except when they roster 24 players, but that's a story for another time.

agree. everything is watered down. Our town has CFC branch juniors that most definitely don't see the varsity squad this year.

NPL still means that you might be the 40th best player at your age in a club in CT. Certainly no guarantees but would like to think that most of them are on varsity teams!!

40th? No. FSA ECNL = 25. CFCU ECNL = 25. OW GDA = 25. So, NPL, maybe best case 76th best player? Maybe.

If a team has 4 ECNL players and 4 NPL players, it’s challenging for a state title.

Ours didn't. Barely qualified for states two years ago and lost in first round. Had a much easier schedule last year and did better in league against patsies and then lost in firat round.

for all the supposed speed and technicality, ECNL girls generally get completely lost on the field for HS soccer.

What's your point. At college and at the national level, size and speed are important. Technical play can be taught and, really, if you lose in athleticism, you won't get or be keeping the ball anyway.

Sorry Oakwood Dad, the best players in CT are on ECNL teams

Not sure what that makes your kids
