This is because Brits do not actually know anything about the sport. They have the most popular league, which is propped up by marketing and wealthy foreigners who import talent and they believe it makes them all experts. For all of the “football is coming home” stupidity they shout, they have one World Cup win where there were widespread complaints of cheating and referees fixing matches. Then these bozos show up in America, charge parents to have their kids yelled at in an accent, and our kids become just as clumsy and robotic as the English are. If you hear an English accent, run for the hills. It’s easy, just think: if that guy had coaching talent, what the hell is he doing with a team of youth girls in NJ and not back home coaching for a PL academy?

Can’t say I disagree, wonder that as well if they are so “good” why are they not coaching/training back in the UK. Oh I know why, they probably would not be able to fool folks over there like the do at our “high level” academies. Plus the influx of Spanish, German, Portuguese, Dutch and Eastern European coaches in the UK has made it more difficult for locals to stand out.

The Portuguese coaches are really showing the English how it’s done. Nuno Espitito at Wolves is a prime example....and there are so many others.

There are not that many English coaches in the PL. There's a more accomplished Portuguese coach/manager in the PL (not universally loved - to put it mildly): Jose Mourinho.

I think you’re making the point of the other poster, if English coaches are so good here in the States why are they not successful there, the England Natl team had Swedish and Italian coaches as well, pretty telling. Also as you mentioned very few in the Prem as well.

Yes....they lost because game was called more like a world cup game and not a US club ...
so they actually called fouls for holding and straight arms etc

PDA would have won if it was officiated like an ECNL or club game....wherehigh press and physically stronger players can muscle their way to goal...

PDA also could have at least put up a goal if they had any decent finishing ability. But perhaps exhaustion set in from chasing the ball the entire game.

And you know what about the game??? My guess is your kid got cut by one of these British coaches and you have some bitterness. Look at the Premier League, best in the world. Last time I checked that was played in England no? The top teams all have English coaches no?

                            In no particular order:
                            Liverpool - German
                            Spurs - Portuguese
Man City - Spanish (Catalan if you ask him)
                            Man U - Norwegian
Chelsea - English (great player - unproven coach)
                            Arsenal - Spanish
                            Leicester - Scot
                            Wolves - Portuguese
                            Southampton - Austrian

That poor left winger....wide open on the back side twice in front of the net and they instead shot from distance.

Lack of team play killed them
