Vancouver trips are a waste of time, money and resources on these teams. Mediocre players getting consistently spanked in Canada and at DA Showcases. Revs are a joke.

This is a showcase in CA. All three teams are playing- U15, 17 and 19.

Usually you want to showcase something at a showcase, not expose things.

17's win 2-1 against a comparable sh*t ,bottom of the barrel San Jose Earthquakes team.
An example of sh*t beating sh*t.

The result usually is sh*t wins.

Top players in California play for Galaxy or LAFC. Not that crap San Jose. Residency presides over that dwindling franchise. The New England Revolution of the West Coast.

It's a 5+ hour drive. They don't the same player base. That's like saying the Revs are **** because all the good players play for NY Red Bull.

The facts are the facts. The Revs and Earthquakes are both bottom of the barrel teams.

What facts are you looking at? The u19's going down to one of the best teams in the country isn't the worst thing in the world. Disappointing, yes, but not damning.

Standings wise, u15 and u19 both finished third, while u17 finished sixth. Not great for an MLS team, but it could be worse.

You want to talk recruiting? There is a reason why there are so many internationals - their academies have been long established with well defined curriculum and philosophy. The revs academy was founded pretty recently (mid 2000's?). It has had its troubles to be fair, but

You want to talk homegrown players? The revs have quality over quantity, ranking second in the MLS in homegrown minutes.

The Rev's aren't great, but to say that they are "the bottom of the barrel" is a little ignorant of the facts.

The finished semi decently because they're in a weak division that was even weaker than usual this year. Versus other MLS clubs they are very weak. They have a poor overall track record of development. As the only MLS club between Canada and NYC they should have a kick azz team of all the top players from multiple states. They don't.

The Revs problem is not that they don’t have the best players available but can’t develop and put a cohesive team together with some style of play. Great individual players but lack tactical awareness and creativity. When they play against teams that are well organized they have trouble dealing with those team. Plus they don’t play to the players’ strength. Most of the time players are played out of the comfort level relative to the strength.
