so she would literally be better off as a lead cashier at publix.

or maybe get a few grand towards college...

Girls soccer parents, lsd went out of style in the 70s
    Truth...

Lost in the club announcement is that GDA is going to split the U17 teams into U16 and U17 teams. More clubs, more teams, more players, more market share. It's all about the money. Quality is immaterial to USSF.

Or losing half a team of 15 year olds makes no sense , probably a better reason

Crossfire is out of GDA in the NW, one of the better clubs in the US. A few other good clubs may also still bail out, only to be replaced by mediocre ones.

Ecnl is rumored to be switching to hs grad year teams to counter this move. GDA will still have to combine u19 & u18 onto one team while ecnl will have separate teams for juniors and seniors. In addition to providing more roster spots, the college recruiting timelines are being pushed back to junior year for girls so it will be better to have separate teams. College coaches would also be able to follow the same rules for every individual on the team. In addition, college board exams, APs, proms, etc are largely by grade so scheduling of soccer games and tournaments/showcases would be much easier. Also, all the 8th graders would have a full team instead of the fall born 8th graders having no team while their fellow birth year mates are off playing high school.

Once again: Make up your mind. All I hear about is how bad FL soccer sucks! That's all anyone here wants to talk about. So how do you propose playing against good competition among a pool of crap players, genius?

The only way for better kids to seek out strong competition is to travel to find it. A good ECNL team can beat up on a CDL or FSPL team every weekend and still not improve. Who are you going to relegate?? The USA League team?

PS. Yes, kids soccer, competing for college rosters. It sure isn't going to happen for them playing in your FFL (Florida Fantasy League).

I call BS. Sorry, your NPL FSPL etc. competition is crap. Paying to play all over florida is not the answer. From week to week the parents have no idea where their next game is. Fat dumb and stupid is no way to go through life.

Its pay to play now. Competition is spotty BECAUSE of the number of leagues. USSF did not give a crap about women's soccer until they saw how successful ECNL is. They did not need DA to develop good professional players - unlike the men's team the women's team did not suck ***** - it actually won championships. GDA was just a money grab. DA, ECNL, FSPL, NPL, etc. are all the same - big money, big travel, big pain in the ass.

I keep reading people wishing and hoping ECNL will go grad year but there has been no indication this will be happening. Only people spreading this rumor are parents suggesting this is one way for ECNL to differentiate themselves from GDA.
