    Sounds like Nirvana.
when a word like share, or do things collectively is used when comes to Florida soccer clubs that is when you know it is bs

It doesn't matter if the GDA allows high school soccer. It's too little, too late. The GDA is in the throes of death.

Funded collectively? What wallet are these "collectively" funds being extracted from? If it is from other players at the clubs, that will go over like a lead balloon. If they get sponsorship money or something, that could work.

Have another drink. The voice in your head is getting too loud.

Sharing resources in South Florida? LMFAO. Hahahahahaha.

I agree. Cynicism is warranted in SF. However, it is quite an ambitious idea that has potential to provide “something for all involved.”

The smaller clubs can point to the DAs as an option for those that want that platform. Younger players can see they have a destination to work toward at “highest level league (debatable, I know)”

Weston DA or whatever it would be called would get a broader base of players, potential PT players, and if the “funded program” holds water.... a real powerful marketing tool.

Sounds awesome, and reasonable chance of working....which is why SF will screw it up, lol.

Who exactly is going to pay for all this?

Other boards say in the NE NYCFC is definitely out and NEFC (one of the other few good NE clubs) may be as well. They're saying GDA in the NE is definitely dead.

parents will waste tons of their cash on their players. No way will they waste cash on another's player.

It's going to be dead in California also. SoCal is strong enough to start its own league and just play amongst themselves. They would save a ton of money and the kids would consistently play against strong competition.

They are doing that at WFF, parents are paying the same amount for Pre-Da (CDL/NPL) as the parents paying for DA. If they weren't then it is safe to assume the price for DA at WFF would be higher.

That won't last. Parents on the Pre-DA will not subsidize the players on the DA.

                            Why would it be higher?

If the money collected for Pre-Da pays for the same coaches salaries, field cost etc, were suddenly to disappear where would the money come to replace that shortfall other than the parents in the DA writing bigger checks to cover the cost of the same coaches and field costs etc. How else do you think they can afford to have a staff of full-time coaches for the DA.

but same could be said for the da disappearing and the pre da would be left holding the bag. unless the da coaches and fields cost more then the pre da coaches and fields.
