I heard that too and coming to the ECNL side of Fkk. Also heard from some OC parents some boys are also heading to Fkk ECNL. Rush might get the bottom players.

Sounds about right. FKK should be the obvious place for these kids based on location. Rush is more than an hour from boombah with traffic. Most working class folk can not make that drive and if they could the sane ones would say f that. If OCYS does fall apart expect all clubs to get a benefit but, those with strong coaching will get the biggest benefit. I can see a couple small clubs that are well connected getting the biggest benefits.

Again with the girls, nobody cares about girls. Can we stay on topic with anything without bringing in the boring a s s girls. Has anyone ever watch girls play? What a boring and slow game, it would be better to watch baseball and that's boring.

US Soccer will continue with boys DA, and it’s possible that MLS DA programs will try to figure out another way but they will learn that it’s simply not feasible. MLS DA programs can’t just play international events and other MLS programs because it’s too expensive.

Expect to hear an announcement soon thar the GDA will allow high school soccer and will be moving to a schedule that mirrors ECNL.

Its only too expensive for some mls clubs. Not all of them. They are all looking into creative financing to get the mls DA league off the ground next year.

"Off the ground next year"???? :D

How many years has the DA been in existence? 10 or 11 at least. "Off the ground" is generally a term reserved for new ventures. The DA experiment has been a huge failure and the MLS clubs know it. They're backing away.

The girls DA is on borrowed time already and click had begun to tick.

There are plenty of happy feet that will be shuffling over to FKK

Hearing that the new Seminole club is going to keep ECNL, and is now trying to keep the players and attract new ones. They would have to make some radical changes with their staff and administration.

I can almost guarantee that AH is working to make Seminole part of Prime. It's coming home.

Going to keep, its a ECNL decision. Now I would not expect ECNL to pull their badge yet. Some of the older OC ECNL boys are already
looking at FKK tryouts. We've been with OC Ecnl from the beginning and would rather our son get to a club that does not have uncertainty every year especially when he's at the older end.

Lots of mis-information on this thread

                              1) MLS teams are required to have Development Academy teams per the MLS Franchise agreement.
                              2) A number of DA teams want changes to the Development Academy
                              - A small number of MLS teams that actually want to develop players want a smaller 'drop the bottom teams" development academy league
                              - A larger number of the MLS teams don't want any youth development at all as there is no incentive. Home grown is meaningless. Why spend any money on youth development when they can just draft any player developed elsewhere, and there are no costs.

Anything else is a guess. - My guess is that BDA will cut off the bottom teams to appease the MLS clubs that want real development, and point to the MLS franchise agreement and SUM agreement for the MLS clubs that want No development and force them to continue. But this is a GUESS.

I agree, but not with the home grown point. It's not meaningless to the MLS DA programs with good DA programs. FCD, LA Galaxy and Philadelphia Union have focus on their youth players and don't even care about the draft. I think that will become the way of the future for MLS DA programs that spend money.
