If you did a little research, you'd know the kids in Europe going residential are near 15. AJAX and other development clubs then produce top flight players to sell. That's how it works. 15 is a golden op for anyone in the working class world - but not the elite upper crust GANS mirror. USA knowledge is so shallow.

The super athletic kids from the low rent district know that it's Basketball that is the most likely way up, not soccer in the USA.

Also, I think the IMG residency was done/closed.

On top of it all, D1 Basketball and football scholarships are ALL free rides. The scholy $ isn’t split up with many players getting little more than books. Soccer can’t compete with that!

Its a DA with a school......that you can board at.....I think it could be called a residency....but, it costs 70-80k per year.

I’ll take Milton Academy @ $30k over that sham school any day.

Milton Academy is an infinitely better choice, but it’s more than $30K. Also, it’s highly selective. It’s not as if every student can just sign up.

So, has this thread morphed and we are no longer talking about what Mr Gans, based on his own kids' experiences, doesn't know about youth soccer or why the US will not be a world soccer power-house??
