This is everything wrong with college athletics. BC goes 14-5-1 and beats FSU and players go in and complain. Boom. Gone

Men's coach should do the same. He's a dinosaur.

Right. The same players who chocked under pressure. But that's the coach, right? snowflakes. I can't wait to see them get their arses kicked next year. Good luck coach. You gave this school and program a 1/4 of a century of success.

Doubt that anyone complained or that a few complaints would get a talented coach like AF fired. 22 seasons is a long time so moving on.

Despite the record and impressive early win against FSU, the team faded at the end of the season and absolutely choked against Hofstra. The record doesn't indicate how poorly they did, which maybe was a factor in her leaving.

No shot she’s leaving Boston for the Siberia of the ACC. She has no connection to the school or the AD.

Talented? Uh, ok. She entered a long time ago after a mediocre D3 playing career, split the team with her games, but stayed long enough to amass a winning record. I suppose you can call that talent.

That’s a little harsh. Twenty two years is a long time to be in any job. It probably isn’t a bad thing for a program to switch it up. Anyone know if it was her choice or BC’s?

With all due respect to any BC alums, her talent comes from taking multiple teams from a small ho-hum school and getting anywhere close to a national championship against larger, more dynamic schools like UNC, UCLA, FSU, etc. She also had a penchant for local talent and sending many to the pros and national teams. Maybe her replacement will snub New England talent for their own favorite hunting grounds.

Agreed, BC has undergone a great transformation that includes the last 22 years of the Women's soccer program. I went to and my kids go to Boston area rival colleges, so no BC fanboys here. D1 soccer is a rough world, and 22 years is a great accomplishment. Nothing but respect for AF.

After the drumming she has gotten over the years, divisive tactics, falling short, multiple transfers, it is interesting that now all of a sudden there is talk about talent.

Some could also say that was the downfall of the program, saying with ne "talent". Kickball is not soccer. NE clubs play kickball.
