Even if paying parents don’t demand this switch, they’ll applaud it greatly with their wallets and anyone that goes to grad year age groups will be rewarded!
A move to graduation year groups by ECNL would nullify a GDA switch to allow high school soccer. Next year in GDA the 2004s & the 2003s get their own teams. However, the 2002s must merge onto the 00/01 teams. Our GDA team only has 2 2000s on it who will be leaving. The current 02/03 team is 90% 2002s. Only room for 2 of those 2002s to play GDA next year. Where will the rest go? ECNL has the same problem due to birth year problems splitting up kids from the same grade.
If ECNL switches to graduation year age groups, instant teams for everyone. 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th. All the left out GDA 2002s and any replaced 2001s will all go over to ECNL.
