ECNL ID clinics are an opportunity for both player and club to get a pre-tryout look at one another. Most of these teams are either an established ECNL team (2006 and older) or have an in-house Pre-ECNL team (2007).

How many kids are showing up at tryouts as an unknown commodity and getting a spot? Not many. In my experience there are very few spots truly up for grabs.

If you are genuinely interested in moving to an ECNL team go to the id clinics and also jump in on a few team practices before May 1 rolls around. Give your player as many opportunities to shine for the coaches as possible.

If your kid is the best 1-2 on her team, as in when other teams play her team the opposing coach notices her, there is a spot for her on an ECNL team at another club. Go to the ID clinics. Ask for feedback afterward.

        Genuinely great advice, thank you!

Scorps and FC Stars events were both well attended.

Talent seemed a bit better at the Stars event, but it was less organized and about 90% Stars players.

Exactly! My son wants to play for his high school (which makes the D1 playoffs every year) and we are too far for DA. Most NPL teams were also too far. ECNL was a great solution for us. Coach is awesome and the teams they play are very competitive.

                      Are you a talent scout?

When will SSS and NEFC have their DA ID events?

I guess the best thing to do would be to ask them directly :- )

NEFC is dropping GDA. Seacoast got theirs when Stars dropped last year and SSS is getting theirs because NEFC is dropping out.
