Travel soccer is a luxury, not a necessity. I would love to live in a mansion on the ocean, but i understand that this is beyond my means. Go back to recreation soccer if your job does not produce the money needed to play.

But it is the case that here, high level youth soccer is an expensive luxury except for a few MLS teen teams.

Have your kid play pick up games for free in heavily Hispanic towns and watch his skills grow by leaps and bounds.

It's a choice to play club travel soccer and it costs. Our club asked us to fund raise one year and it was embarrassing. Other than a grandparent, who wants to give your family money for your sport that they need it for their own activities and interests? I refused after that first experience.

But for expensive travel soccer? That is luxury product. Remember how well it went over on TS wham a family asked for help to send their player to spain?

About $4 a month per player in Germany in 2014, including everything (even medical insurance) except shin guards and cleats.
