That would imply that the news media, or anyone, was interested in women's professional soccer in this area.

False!! Have you ever heard of a pro team being kicked out due to performance?

Seems your reading comprehension sucks. I sort of touched on that point. NWSL doesn't care if the Breakers is first or last, so long as Boston is seen as a viable market for its business and brand without more compelling markets that are well-suited for them to serve. Could you see a Boston make way for a Vancouver or Bay Area? Maybe, but I'm skeptical that NWSL is going to make another FCKC to RSL type of move any time soon, especially with the Breakers, having a history different than most, having been a model WPS franchise when that league was a mess, and now having DA ties. Performance ITSELF will NOT drive any of those decisions by the league.

WNY Flash was the reigning champion when they decided to sell/ relocate to North Carolina because they said the Buffalo/ Rochester area that was not a good fit or market for the team. Poor performance could also impact ticket sales and attendance. So could poor management.

So if this is true Breakers are moving selling the team here are a few reason why which could make sense.
They are heymergine money and need a way out before there's nothing left to sell.
Breakers finally realize unfortunately women's soccer around here doesn't work. Sorry to say that but it's true.
The GDA/NEFC thing isn't working as well as they thought it would and income form the younger groups are saving the pro team.
Why it could be moved nonsmart business group around here will buy it because it's not making money just loosing it.
So they may have to sell to some group down south or Midwest who thinks their earea is going to do better.
In the end I don't think anything is changing next year. Some crap team unless they trade more players draft picks again which did nothing for them besides lower there salery cap.

Some good points. Bottom line, the money drain takes it toll and at some point, investors don't have the patience to stick around. Its amazing though how other markets are doing great, like out west. Too bad the NWSL wasn't like the NFL with profit sharing across the clubs, that way, the Breakers could hang on like the Cleveland Browns.

Wow, a lot of good info there. Too bad the Breakers are in such a quagmire. Maybe Kraft will buy them?

More likely a parent of a kid in DA. That’s the way the club operates.

The group that owns the Breakers is the worst type of owner in professional sports. Like the Sullivan's before the Kraft's. Penny pinchers who don't actually have the resources to run their franchise like a pro team. It will be good to get these fools out of the way. Hopefully it won't cost the Boston fan base their team though.

True. What will those 13 people do? Bet it's cheaper to fly them, all expenses paid, to wherever Breakers relocate for 12 home games next spring.

You can tell how bad an investment the breakers are if NEFC or GPS doesn't want to buy the club. Those two organizations I'm sure those two would buy it if it had any chance at making money. In a way I think NEFC would want the breakers to leave so they could get a GDA spot as the second club in mass.
                                That's if this is true.
