    What is your problem?

PSU beat Stanford that season. Rutgers was in cup semi finals. Just stop. That year, PSU got it done. And multiple Big 10 teams were in top 25.

That doesn't mean Big 10 are great today but during that time, they were. Fact.

No issue. Acknowledged their accomplishment, but they did have an easier path imo. You can disagree. This all got kicked off with a comment that PSU’s program is stronger than BC’s, but that’s an unfair comparison again imo. If you ignore the conference environments they operate in, then yeah you could see that; but that’s not reality.

We can agree to disagree. PSU played Duke during the regular season and it ended in a 0-0 draw. It was great they got to Duke (pun intended) it out again. PSU's & (CR nat'l team) Rocky R was Mac Hermann winner.

As to the other, what is the ultimate goal for many that play college other than to offset costs through sports and get a degree?

Wouldn't it be to win their conference and then to make NCAA's? And then continue the winning streak to the college cup, right?

If PSU provides that pathway better than others, so what?

BC is in the better overall soccer conference. But PSU will more times than not be a conference champ contender and will more times than not be in ncaa tourney. For those that make soccer opportunities a priority as well, that is what they want.
They do not like watching the ncaa games on their computer screen. Would rather be there.

Now I get it if you are a local school playing somewhere in the middle or below, but how is it possible with all the tools at their disposal they come up with a roster of only 4 kids that are not from the North East. Why are they not recruiting like the other ACC teams? No International players, no one from the south, midwest or Canada?
Because BC women’s soccer isn’t a big draw for worldly soccer players. It’s Not worth it to come up to the cold northeast, when there are better opportunities closer to home with better soccer climates. For locals players with above average talent , BC is not a bad option. It’s close to home with decent academics. Yet for someone that wants to go beyond college soccer, it’s far from the best choice. BC soccer may be the best option in Massachusetts, but anywhere else it’s meh.

No argument there. SC made what turned out to be smart move going to PSU, as did SH transferring to Stanford a few years ago. Don’t know whether either would have gotten the opportunity without the platform BC gave them though. Sometimes players don’t get noticed until they perform on a college field.

You can tell how dedicated a player is by whether they can still fit in their uniform by the end of the season.

So if you don't want the kid ("another top player") getting roasted by jerks, don't put that out there for fodder.

"top player" isn't someones inflated opinion. Girl Started every game as a freshman. If it makes you feel better, BC losing another starter, and you can argue list all the reasons she sucks on another thread.
