    baysl to take over WFP

    Let the mis-information begin.

I heard it was not a bad deal for WFP. They just had to buy RB a 2 set of 5 for $5 Roast beef sandwiches at Arby's and they will share in the sponsorship money. You know RB wheeled and dealed for some curly fries too.

How much to get BL aka Waldo and DV to go away?

Is this a desparate response to the clearwater/fusion merge? What does WFP gain other than a takeover?

With Brandon and WFP now combined, they will be given a US Academy this Spring in addition to the European Academy that they already have.

So it's happened already? Where was the announcement and press conference?

What I really want to know is how this will affect the WFP fees. They are reasonable now but BAYSL is like double isn't it?

The European Academy is completely free. They pay for everything if you are selected. Now you will have to pay if you enter the new US Soccer Acadmy team, but it will cost no more than Clearwater charges for their academy.

US Soccer would not give BAYSL an Academy spot if you have to pay. They want a "no pay to play system".

Not at all. This was in the works prior to that annoucement. BAYSL also spoke with FUSION about merging and JD wanted no part of it.

It is about getting bigger and having top teams in all age groups to put in a bid for ECNL and USSDA. If they get one of those that is what each gain.

Perhaps Brandon has a way to get this funded. The English investors are paying for the European Academy, but they get a return for any players that go pro. What is the return for players going into the US Academy? It is not like they can charge the universities that offer the academy kids scholarships?

You're either misinformed or an idiot. Almost all academy's in the US are pay to play. A few MLS sponsored academys are not. Clearwater charges, IMG obviously charges, as well as Weston. Thanks for your comments.
