Jeff Cup has always been full of ECNL and pre DA clubs, but generally those clubs are within driving distance. Of course other clubs are involved.

While certainly not the 300 plus that show up for DA or ECNL, a solid list of schools including IVY and top D3 schools for career minded athletes not looking to play beyond college.

If you not in DA or ECNL, this is still a fine tournament. Besides, what other choices is out there besides, CASL. Disney and State Cup is pretty much a joke now.

Just looking at U15 (which, btw Sunrise tied the supposed #1 team in the US, Marin FC, another NPL club that does a ton of events to jack up their points) there's fewer than 20 ECNL teams out of nearly 100 teams

It's a very good event if you're not ECNL or GDA. Still plenty of good schools even if they're not all "top" soccer programs. Also many won't be on the coach list - they register day of or don't register at all.

Oh please, there are so many GDA teams who would get their asses kicked at Jeff Cup. GDA in Fl is a joke full of rec players

Yes, that is true and is true in other parts of the country (NE and NW especially). For now GDA events are still getting coaches to show up. But none of that changes the fact that Jeff Cup is a good event for recruiting.

Wrong Banana ! The NE is a powerhouse for soccer. Especially girls. 90% of national players come from the NE. NY,PA,Conn NJ. Ect, Florida soccer in general has always been pretty weak compared to other parts of the country.

You're missing the point and getting defensive which only shows the weakness of your position. The post was that more colleges show up to DA and ECNL event than regional tournaments which is a fact. It did not comment about the talent or skill level of DA or ECNL plays (though its funny you did not mention ECNL in your rant).

Actually the players are pretty diverse coming from California, Mid Atlantic and the Northern States. While no doubt you did so totally by accident, your post brings up a point mentioned over and over on TS. There is a significant benefit for clubs located in densely populated areas that they draw from in 4 directions. While not a guarantee, it certainly helps.

NY, NY and PA? yes they have some good clubs, yet PDA left GDA last year along with a Boston club. Now NYCFC is pulling out this year. There's like two clubs in the division left worth playing. Last year they added a mid tier NPL in and a basement dwelling ECNL club. CT doesn't have an abundance of top quality talent, just mostly "good" players. Northwest is al losing clubs and talent to ECNL. Yes FL is weak but no worse than there. SoCal and TX are the two best grouping, midwest is OK

Wrong - nor fruit involved. Players do come from all over and are actually more skewed west coast, CO, TX. A few sprinkled in from NJ, NY, PA. Just two examples
