When did VW become so important, never heard of it a month ago. Now you are planning for next year already??? Let GPS fly in players from wherever they want. It has nothing to do with real development, sportsmanship or what soccer should be about at this age. Business soccer gone nuts. GPS has several hundred boys in this age group in New England but but their training is so crappy that couldn't field a team strong enough from that pool. How insulting and pathetic to their own local players. What kind of nitwit soccer parent would be impressed by this?

If you want a u 12 thread. Let's move on from VW because there other threads.

On that note. Anyone know whether bolts ate having a u 12 ( 2002) pre academy team? I'm taking son to tryouts ( he doesn't mind , because it's soccer) but is this a new team?

Vw became so important when these nuts from Newton and Valeo decided to participate in it.There is a plan to win national VW at Valeo.Training is going to start next Monday.

I did not say anything about next year's volkwagen. Just that we would like to create better teams moving forward.

Is this VW nonsense the new yardstick for teams in this age group? How many teams will be in the hunt for this tournament?

47 teams but they are all GPS hunting for a plane ticket because their director thinks his MA boys stink.

This is a brand new team, using calendar year 2002--so that technically means that, next season, they will be a U13 team under US Soccer rules.

That's because they do. And it's not the players fault. GPS cannot develop players. I found it really funny on the other thread that someone pointed out some of these teams have been playing together for years. Yet GPS public defenders are saying that the team in the Volkswagen match had never met before and they suddenly become super team overnight. What does that tell you? I tells you that the imported players are the ones that are clearly making the difference.

Have they announced the teams yet? My son tried out and has not heard either way. I am assuming that he didn't make it.

What's district select? Aren't our boys still U11 until August?

any reason to be in bolts pre academy U12?
Academy stars @ U14? Isn't that when all "players" need to show up?

Bolts are definitely doing a 2002 pre academy team. Tryouts are next week.
If you son's goal is to play for an academy it might be a good idea to try out as early as possible.
