it was clearly a scrimmage, and a lot of kids on both teams were missing for spring breaks or other reasons. pac seemed to have some youngers players and only some but not all of their strongest 23’s and 24’s playing, but definitely controlled the game despite reign creating their share of chances. reign was missing two of their stronger outside backs/wings, one of their center backs, and one of their stronger mids, and they aren’t that deep to begin with, so the result isn’t surprising. not sure about their playing either long hall or high press— don’t think either is an accurate description of how they try to play. nice for the ga and ECNL teams to get together and get in a game. both teams are a pretty good illustration of there being too many teams in the area that are playing in these elite leagues.

I don’t get it, why is everyone talking about how terrible Pac is when the topic is on XF, Eastside, Reign, SU ?

How did they do? It was a great day of soccer. The girls got to compete at Lumen field, use the locker rooms, the jumbotron, their warm up music blasting through the stadium. It was a positive, fast, well played game and an all around amazing experience to play a friendly scrimmage against former teammates and high school teammates. Score? Who cares? It was a scrimmage. All smiles as the two teams took photos together after. Non toxic youth sports can happen, and good coaches are behind that.
