All tryouts are at CMs house this year and by invite only. Hahaha .... Don't feel so great anymore does it?

It’s really simple. All in the past, now this thread is dead. FC Bucks did right and worked with their membership. Changes will come, and the club will move beyond the past 5 years. FC Bucks have all the tools to be a solid club in the ECNL again. No parents have an issue with tryouts. The coaches will be fine with coaching selections, and will work with the new DOC. Practice will happen like they do at normal clubs. Only question is when we can get back on the field safely. FC Bucks tried to do the right thing, and this change will be positive in many ways. For those that started this topic, and for those that said nobody would listen, think again. This site was the direct cause for change. Time to move on. Thank you to the people at FC Bucks for moving in a new direction. Better times coming soon. The bitterness and deflections can end for now.

I agree. All moved made thus far have been very positive for the club and this team. One thing remains however, we need some sort of statement from the new DOC that all teams will be coached by and all playing decisions made by professional coaches with no interference from parents, whether the parents are board members, VP of FC Bucks or the DOC himself

Correct. This chat group must stay alive until we get it.

Ahh yes cause a daddy DOC will sure have no influence on how their kids are treated at all, talk about hypocrisy at its best for the people complaining about BB. I would argue the conflict of interest is even greater in this case since a coach’s job could be impacted if they don’t follow guidance from the DOC.....

There are several major differences between the current DOC and BB
1). Current DOC is extremely qualified for his job being a D1 college coach with an A license , BB played some high school soccer had ZERO qualifications to coach at any level, yet alone ECNL

2). Current DOC is listed as DOC and coach - people aren’t being lied to as in the BB case where he was never listed as a coach anywhere and bucks even went so far as to lie to ECNL about his role.

But agreed there is potential for a conflict of interest, however thus far CM has conducted himself with the utmost professionalism.

Anyone else think that it is not a coincidence that the 4 coaches listed in 2002-2006 are all the same coaches, just rotating who is listed as head and who is listed as assistant coaches? Is this the norm at other clubs? Why do they all need to be involved in these age groups are they getting paid per team they are involved with along with other positions in club plus wearing hats at Villanova, etc????

That is actually one of the ECNL standards that was always lacking at FC Bucks - teams are supposed to be coached by a staff of coaches - not just a coach - and there is supposed to be opportunities for kids to train with different age groups - so yes, when you have the same slate of coaches coaching all of the ECNL teams, that is the model ECNL expects. The old FC Bucks model was each team did their own thing - and as a consequence, the club never really functioned like a club.

Same question here, staff of coaches yes, but the same 4 coaches for the oldest 4 girls teams?? Along with the responsibilities of college coaching; seems like a lot of hats for them to wear and still be able to give each team the attention they deserve

girls will go to practice and be trained by the entire coaching staff. This is a good thing.

Correct, instead of what was there before which was no coaching

They will have plenty of time for FCB. The Big East is seriously considering dropping mens and womens soccer for the next two years. If that happens those sports will never come back. The Patriot is in early talks about going the Ivy way and no longer offering any athletic scholarships. P5's discussing leaving the NCAA. Covid is being used as the excuse but it really just provided the opportunity.

You are high. No possible way will any of that happen. Patriot league would be better off going D3 if they cut scholarships Big East would be crazy dropping 2 sports they are competing very well in.
