The first announcement from the ownership says the entire soccer staff has been laid off. A subsequent email from a third party directs parents to a new site, the NJ
Academy one, where a new club/ team is apparently emerging. Not clear what is going on.
Presumably most parents have already paid for the full year at this point, so what does it say about a place that's laying off staff for a sport that is paid up, if that is the case?

That’s a valid point. If we are paid up then they should have the money to pay coaches since we aren’t getting refunds. If they planned to use incoming funds from early registrations or tryouts this spring them money and now don’t have that then poor money management from the club !
Is the Centercourt tennis club dissolving the soccer portion of the business? Is the soccer group "moving" to the faility in Florham Park under this new name? Was this a coaches and soccer staff move and the "lay off" was inevitable?

All good questions. The original email from the ownership mentioned layoffs of staff in general (Centercourt has programs in about a dozen sports), but also specifically mentioned the soccer program. There was no indication the program wouldn't return. But subsequent email from those who have talked to some coaches apparently suggest that some of the staff is moving on to establish an independent program elsewhere. The club has said nothing official about any of this. Not clear what is going on, whether the shutdown of leagues and the subsequent layoffs was what prompted this, or whether it was in the works anyway.
